Back in 2013 we launched CloudKarafka as one of the first services out there to offer hosted Apache Kafka. Since then we’ve assisted many customers in building all kinds of applications on the platform.
However, with the addition of RabbitMQ Streams and our high performance AMQP broker LavinMQ we believe that CloudAMQP is the better option for many use cases that might have led potential customers to consider Apache Kafka. This is the primary reason for announcing the end-of-life of CloudKarafka.
In the spirit of keeping our company agile, we’ve made the strategic decision to focus on a technology we truly believe in. We're noticing significant growth and interest in both RabbitMQ and LavinMQ, where we continue as market leaders. As such, we plan to invest more in these areas with the full attention from the company.
We want to express our gratitude to our customers and partners who have been with us throughout this time. Though this chapter may be ending, our commitment to supporting you remains. We're here to help you, whether you decide to continue your Apache Kafka journey with another provider or stay with us and migrate to RabbitMQ or LavinMQ.
Service Shutdown Schedule
